Terms of Service
Last updated 17 August 2026
These terms govern your use of PostMax. They cover what the service does, what you may and may not use it for, who owns the content you put into it, and what happens when a connected platform is involved.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using PostMax you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that company. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Questions about these terms go to hello@postmax.io.
2. What the service does
PostMax lets you upload media, turn long-form video into short clips, schedule posts, publish them to social accounts you connect, and review how they performed. Features vary by plan and change over time.
PostMax is a tool you direct. It publishes only content you have created or approved, only to accounts you have connected, and only at times you have scheduled or rules you have configured.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
- Give accurate registration details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- Tell us promptly at hello@postmax.io if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to avoid plan limits.
4. Workspaces and members
Content lives inside a workspace. The workspace owner controls who has access and what they can do. If you invite someone, you are responsible for their use of the workspace, and you confirm you have the right to share its contents with them. Members with publishing rights can post to any account connected to that workspace.
5. Acceptable use
These rules exist because misuse of PostMax would also be misuse of the platforms we connect to. Breaking them puts your account and our platform access at risk, so we enforce them.
You must not use PostMax to:
- Publish content you do not own or have the rights to publish, including anyone else’s video, music, images or writing used without permission.
- Post spam, bulk unsolicited content, engagement bait, or the same or near-identical content repeatedly to inflate reach.
- Operate accounts you do not own or are not authorised to act for, or run networks of accounts to manipulate a platform.
- Impersonate any person, brand or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
- Publish unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or violent content, or content that exploits or endangers children.
- Publish content that is deceptive, fraudulent, or promotes a scam.
- Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, any platform’s rate limits, automation rules, review processes or terms.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe or interfere with PostMax, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.
- Resell or provide the service to third parties except through a workspace you administer for clients.
- Upload malware, or anything designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to a system.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, remove content, and report unlawful activity where required. Where a platform tells us your usage breaches their rules, we may act on that.
6. Your content
You own everything you upload and create. We claim no ownership over your media, clips, captions or posts.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transcode, transcribe, analyse, transmit and display your content solely to operate the service for you — for example, to store a video, cut it into clips, generate a transcript, and deliver a post to a platform you chose. This licence exists only to run the features you use, and ends when you delete the content or your account.
You confirm you have all the rights necessary to upload your content and to publish it to the platforms you select, including rights to any music, footage, images and contributors’ likenesses within it.
7. Connected platforms
PostMax is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Google, LinkedIn or X. Each remains an independent service governed by its own terms.
- Their terms still apply to you. Publishing through PostMax does not exempt you from any platform’s rules, and you remain responsible for what appears on your accounts.
- They can change or withdraw access. Platforms alter their APIs, permissions and policies at their discretion. A feature may stop working, be limited, or be removed as a result, and we cannot guarantee continued availability of any integration.
- They can act against your account. A platform may reject a post, rate-limit you, restrict visibility, or suspend your account. We have no control over these decisions and cannot reverse them.
- Publishing can fail. Posts may fail due to outages, rate limits, expired credentials or platform rejection. We surface failures and retry where sensible, but we do not guarantee that any given post is published at any given time.
Where a platform requires specific terms to be passed on — such as the YouTube Terms of Service for accounts connected via YouTube API Services — those terms apply to you in addition to these.
8. Automated features
PostMax can generate clips, suggest captions, and publish on a schedule or in response to a trigger you configure. These outputs are produced automatically and may be inaccurate, poorly timed or unsuitable. You remain responsible for everything published from your account, including content produced automatically. Where automation could post without your review, you choose to enable it, and we recommend approval steps for anything sensitive.
9. Plans, credits and payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Some processing-intensive features consume credits included with your plan. Credits do not have cash value and are not refundable.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.
- You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
- We may suspend the service for non-payment after notifying you.
10. Availability
We work to keep PostMax available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, change or withdraw features, and impose reasonable limits to protect the service. Where practical we will give notice of significant changes.
11. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that automated outputs will be accurate or suitable, or that any post will reach any particular audience or achieve any result.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity or data. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.
We are not liable for a platform’s decisions about your account or content, for content published from your account, or for loss arising from your breach of a platform’s terms.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your breach of any platform’s terms or a third party’s rights.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using PostMax and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if your use puts our platform access or other users at risk, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service — with notice where circumstances allow.
On termination we delete your data as set out in the Privacy Policy. Content already published to a platform stays there and remains yours to manage.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. We will revise the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the product before they take effect. Continuing to use PostMax after that means you accept the revised terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections in your country of residence.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
